Welcome to Magical Mountain Resorts where we offer magical, adventurous fairytale-themed cabin stays within The Enchanted Forest Campground.

Nestled 10 miles outside Hayesville, our 11-acre campground backs into the Tusquitee Ranger District of the Nantahala National Forest. Covering many of the mountains and valleys of southwestern North Carolina, the Nantahala National Forest is the largest in the state, encompassing 531,148 acres with elevations ranging from 5,800 feet at Lone Bald in Jackson County to 1,200 feet in Cherokee County along the Hiwassee River. In addition to stunning views and hiking opportunities, the forest also boasts access to three beautifully pristine lakes, two major rivers, and three large reservoirs.

These awe-inspiring landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for families and individuals looking to escape from the daily grind by relaxing in nature or enjoying recreational activities including boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and sailing.

Visitors will leave the hustle and bustle of reality behind as they cross a wooden bridge and step onto grounds reminiscent of some of the world’s most well-loved fairytales and stories. Guests will be charmed by the hanging teapots and toadstools heralding the entrance to Alice’s White Bunny Cottage and the Red Queen’s Cottage, which is sure to steal your heart with its red, black, white, and gold touches.

Those that wander a bit farther into the forest may expect to glimpse a famous dwarf or two as they approach Snow White’s Cottage, themed in dazzling white. Nearby, visitors will stumble upon the Candy Cabin and the Sugar Shack, two gingerbread house themed-cabins decorated with enough candy canes, gumdrops, and lollipops to bring out the kid in anyone!

The Enchanted Forest is also home to two MidKnight Buses, quirky Scottish double-decker buses our magical guests would expect to see zipping through tight spaces and stopping to rescue wizards and witches in a pinch. A group of up to 4 visitors will be able to slumber comfortably in the MidKnight Bus on the lower deck. Guests can also choose a captivating stay near everyone’s favorite school of witchcraft and wizardry by stepping into the school gamekeeper’s cabin. Don’t worry – it’s regularly checked for hippogriffs and dragon eggs!

Interested in a different kind of magic? The Enchanted Forest boasts a science-themed antique school bus that’ll have you looking for Mrs. Frizzle as well as a vintage Shult camper reminiscent of Orbit City and the Jetsons.

Campers will also find that 5 open RV slips are available to make room for every guest’s unique sense of adventure.

No matter which story sparks your imagination, all of our cabins offer relaxing outdoor spaces, beautiful and fun-themed decor, and many other family-friendly features that will make anyone a believer in magic.
